Less than 10 per cent of campsites are remaining for this year’s Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 at Mount Panorama with just under three months until the iconic race in October.

The unprecedented interest comes after the internationally acclaimed race once again provided one of the best events on last year’s sporting calendar in front of more than 180,000 spectators over the four days.

The popular McPhillamy Park, Paddock and Chase Campgrounds are totally sold out, along with the Motor Home Park near the famous Conrod Straight. There is limited availability in the Reid/Sulman and Max Cameron Campgrounds.

"Each year we have to console disappointed fans who have missed out on a site so we encourage them to book now and avoid that pain," V8 Supercar Events General Manager Shane Howard said.

The Reid/Sulman Campground, at $155 per site (8mx10m), offers a unique Bathurst experience on top of the Mountain. Max Cameron at, $125 per site (6 x 8m - 8 x 10m), is the closest campground to the Supercheap Auto Pit Straight, Grandstand and Paddock area, and the most affordable of the six campgrounds.

The newest innovation to the event – Tent City – has already sold more sites than last year.

Tent City allows patrons to simply hire a fully assembled tent. The tents are complete with carpeted floors, camp beds and permanent light. All packages include breakfast daily which is served in the corporate hospitality marquee. (NB: Patrons need to bring is their own bedding ie sleeping bag or sheets, blankets & pillows, towels etc)

Bookings that have been received have been processed. Confirmations will shortly be sent to those campers that have already booked.
