Ekol And LDM To Help Pye Reach The Top

V8 Supercar rookie and Adelaide boy, Scott Pye says it's a long way to the top in V8 Supercars, but the backing of ekol and the resources of Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport will allow him to succeed.
The covers were ripped off Pye's new LDM Holden VF Commodore at the Clipsal 500 street circuit today, Pye and an AC/DC cover band singing the classic "It's a Long Way to the Top" hit single.
"It will be a long journey to the top of such a competitive racing series, but I know I have good equipment," Pye said.
Pye had his first run in the car at Sydney Motorsport Park's pre-season test day a fortnight ago, and upstaged some far more experienced drivers to finish sixth-fastest for the day.
"The car was really good at the test," Pye said. "We used both hard and soft tyres throughout the day and I'm sure there's a lot more to come as I gain more experience.
"Not many drivers have the opportunity to debut at their home circuit, so it's quite surreal that I have the chance to race in front of my home crowd this weekend."
LDM also used the launch to welcome finance and investment business, ekol as the major sponsor on Pye's car.
Ekol's finance division provides packages to small and medium-sized businesses such as pay-by-the-month insurance, while ekol's investment division encompasses commercial, residential and food/beverage portfolios.
Ekol has chosen to support LDM, a team on the rise and ready to deliver results.
Scott Pye and the ekol Commodore will take to the Clipsal 500 street circuit for practice on Friday.
